How we're helping in Indonesia
Throughout 2023, our E-Hub project, set up in 2022 to strengthen emergency response capacity, developed and delivered a first series of training courses on mental health awareness and psychosocial support; medical waste management in health care facilities; organization of health care services; management of cases of methanol poisoning; and the use of geographical information systems in emergencies.
We ran these courses for health care workers and community emergency responders in Jakarta and Banten provinces. This first year of project implementation concluded with a workshop with the Ministry of Health, provincial and district health authorities and other collaborating partners to review the program achievements and challenges. We plan to extend these activities to other provinces in the coming years.
